Hospital Visit

Last Thursday after our ultrasound and doctor visit I earned a trip to the hospital. I was there until Saturday afternoon. The doctor admitted me because my cervix was 14mm and she wanted to give me steroid shots to help with Owen's development. While I was there, I started contracting and went into pre-term labor. They got that under control with medication and the contractions finally stopped. I am home again and still on bed rest. The goal is to get me to 36 weeks. Think we'll make it?

Owen's Scrapbook

I had made a scrapbook about 2 years ago for my nephew Corey James and it came out pretty good if I do say so myself. I decided I wanted to do the same thing for Owen. I figured this would be a good bed rest project for myself. KIMee brought me all her scrapbooking stuff, I ordered stuff from JoAnn's online and Rose shopped at Michael's for me.

Well, my bed rest project turned into a one day project. I finished it already! I was so excited to get my stuff and get started....that I just couldn't stop!! Now I still have about 68 days left of my pregnancy and the scrapbook is done!!! Now to find more projects for myself.

A view from the couch!!!

So here is a picture of me on bed rest! I am actually enjoying the view from the couch at this particular moment. We went to the doctors on Friday and bed rest is working! My cervix has not shortened in two weeks and I am not contracting. I go again this Friday for a check up and to be hooked up the the fetal monitor, but not ultrasound to check cervix. That will be done the following Thursday! Hopefully everything will stay the same and bed rest will continue to work!

Preggy Ladies' Party

When a home group ends up with three pregnant ladies, all due within 6 weeks of each other, a pregnant ladies' party is an obvious requirement.  Jen, Briana and I are all due between October and November.  We had a fabulous time at the Preggy Ladies' Party....enjoy some pictures!!!

Choosing boy things.....It was all boy!!!  All three of us are having boys!!!

We all had such a fabulous time.  Thank you to the ones who organized, cooked and prepared for our special day.  It is so nice to have friends like you guys!

Bed Rest

So...here I stay....on the couch or in bed!!! It is now bed rest for me!!! But I will do what I need to keep our Owen safe and staying put. We have 9 weeks until 36 weeks...but hopefully we will make it longer than that!!!! Josh has been great...doing all the household chores, cooking, going to work, preparing for our basement to be waterproofed, working on Owen's room and taking care of me!!! I love you Josh!!!
